A Donald Trump supporter who attempted to scale Trump tower identified as 20-year-old Stephen Rogata

Many people recently watched in awe as Stephen Rogata, age 20, attempted to climb the 58 floors of Trump Tower where Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump resides  in New York City. The daredevil climber who is being called the "human fly" attempted to scale the building using only suction cups with nothing to catch him if he fell.

NYPD officers were quickly on scene trying to reason with Rogata to quit climbing, but the 20-year-old appeared determined to make it to the top.  CBS and other news stations were broadcasting  live as Rogata strategically evaded police, who broke a window and tried reasoning with the young Trump Supporter. Eventually the two and a half hour climb came to an end at 6:30  pm on August 10th when the police pulled Rogata into the 21st floor.

Virginia native Stephen Rogata climbs Trump tower in order to have a meeting with Trump.

"Great job today by the NYPD in protecting the people and saving the climber," Trump said on Twitter in response to the incident.

Rogata has told police that he posted a Youtube video under the fake name "Leven Thumps" the day before titled "Message to Mr. Trump (why I climbed your tower)," as he tried to get Trump's attention. The climb was an attempt at a personal meeting with the businessman and presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was ironicially in Virginia campaigning for the 2016 election. In the video Rogata urges people to vote for Trump and to make the video go viral and reach the 2016 Republican nominee.  Although Rogata may have thought he was trying to make his beliefs heard, the stunt was dangerous, it also shutdown the streets in the area and caused unnecessary deployment of many police officers. In the end Trump towers was minorly damaged but nobody was harmed in the incident.
