Criminal Minds Star Suspended!

Actor Thomas Gibson has been suspended after a physical altercation with a producer on the set of Criminal Minds

It appears that the popular CBS show Criminal Minds  will be without star Thomas Gibson for a minimum of one or two episodes.

TMZ reported that Gibson, who plays special agent Hotchner,  got into an argument over creative differences with an unnamed producer which led to Gibson kicking the man. For at least the next two episodes being filmed,  the actor is being dropped from the script and replaced as director. His future on the show depends on a further investigation into the incident, despite him being under contract through the end of the show's latest season.  Gibson's future with the show could also be hurt because this is his 2nd physical altercation while working on set.  A few years ago Gibson pushed a producer while filming and was ordered to attend anger management classes due to his tendency to react with physical violence. He was not suspended for the first offence.

Thomas Gibson was suspended from Criminal Minds after his second physical altercation with a co-worker.

Thomas Gibson responded to the suspension feeling regretful of his actions.

"There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and we always will," Gibson said in a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter.

While Gibson may have just had creative differences with the producer the fact that the confrontation got violent and that it is his second altercation may work against him. It is likely because of these two factors that his future with the show is in question and maybe even in jeopardy. We will soon see what the future holds for Gibson and the show when Criminal Minds  season 13 begins September 28.
